Workbar, a Boston-based network of shared office space, is partnering with Union Square Station Associates (US2) to bring a new location to Union Square this summer.

The Workbar location will be at 31 Union Square, and US2 will operate its local headquarters from the coworking space's ground floor.

“US2 is pleased to partner with Workbar to provide real value to the neighborhood’s start-ups, entrepreneurs, creative community and professionals,” said Greg Karczewski, president of US2, in a release. "Our partnership is an innovative way to bring more vitality and commerce to Union Square and jumpstart its revitalization, helping both new and existing businesses.”

Workbar markets itself as a "flexible and comfortable" environment. The shared workplace allows members (which include freelancers, startups, creative entrepreneurs, and small businesses) to work in a community of professionals. Workbar boasts affordable coworking space, conference and meeting rooms, and fast and secure Wi-Fi, along with other amenities.

“Our partnership with US2 will allow us to extend the Workbar Network of coworking spaces to Somerville, providing local startups, small businesses and remote professionals the ability to grow their enterprises and collaborate with other entrepreneurs,” said Bill Jacobson, Founder & CEO of Workbar.

Workbar, which has over 800 members from 250+ different companies, holds networks in more than 25 locations, including Cambridge, Dorchester and the South End.
