The Deloitte Technology Fast 500—which aims to reveal the U.S. tech and life sciences companies with the fastest revenue growth—is out for 2014. And 27 companies out of Massachusetts made the list.
Among the rapidly growing tech companies on the list is one that has been public for a while now (athenahealth), several that have had their IPO more recently (HubSpot, Demandware, Brightcove) and a few that hope to reach the public markets in the near term (Acquia, Bullhorn).

The list was based on the percentage of revenue growth at the companies between 2009 and 2013 (specific dollar amounts for revenue were not disclosed by Deloitte).
