Hiring in the Hub 10/3-10/9: Startup Institute's New CEO & DigitasLBi's Promoted Global Data Scientist

Boston's business elite has been busy this past week. Catch up on who's going where below:

Global marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi announced Jason Kodish (photographed right) would be promoted to the role of global chief data scientist. He most recently served as the company's regional senior vice president, overseeing the North American strategy and analytics team. In his new role, he will still be running the team, but it will be integrated with the global team, according to MediaPost. Kodish will be responsible for driving DigitasLBi's global data initiatives, such as tool development, partnership deals and data management and quality.

Shared Tony Weisman, CEO of DigitasLBi North America, in a statement:

There couldn’t be a better fit for this new role. For years, Jason has been on the cutting-edge of marketing analytics, turning data-driven insights into winning strategies for clients across North America. We’re incredibly excited to have him expand that leadership on a global level.

Attend.com named Victor Mendoza its vice president of engineering. Mendoza comes to the company from Clypd, an ad marketplace for television, where he worked as the director of engineering. At Attend.com, Mendoza will be spearheading the company's engineering team, and be tasked with creating advanced software solutions for the event management community.

Communispace Founder Diane Hessan (photographed left) will be replacing Startup Institute Co-founder Aaron O'Hearn as the career accelerator's chief executive. O'Hearn will be moving to the United Kingdom to spearhead the program's London operations, while Hessan focuses on expanding the Startup Institute internationally. (But more on that here.)

Mike Parise has joined Woburn-based enterprise IT security company Kaspersky Lab North America as its senior vice president of corporate sales. He most recently served as vice president of North American field sales at Core Security, and will be responsible for developing all sectors of the company's North American business-to-business sales activities.

Waltham-based Lionbridge Technologies, a provider of translation, localization and globalization solutions, announced the addition of Mike Dallas, the senior vice president of HP's global human resources, to its board of directors. As someone who's supported nearly 300,000 employees in more than 170 countries, his role will be to help Lionbridge continue to scale its program management teams across roughly 25 countries.

Per Wednesday's BostInno Beat from our own Greg Gomer:

We've just learned that InsightSquared's VP of Engineering Chris Paul has left the company to join Continuum. Paul had been at Insight for two years. I don't know him at all, but he has an AMAZING mustache.
