50 on Fire is December 4th, and nominations for the year-end awards celebration are open now. To ensure that every trailblazing company and individual forging new frontiers in Boston has a chance to submit a nomination, we're extending the deadline to October 10th at midnight.
We've received over 1,000 nominations of the disruptors setting fire to the innovation scene already, and the competition is fierce. Once nominations close, a panel of experts will cull the nominees to a list of 200 finalists across nine industries. Those finalists will be reviewed by industry-specific panels of judges, who will determine the final 50 winners.
Then, on December 4th, we'll unveil the 2014 50 on Fire winners live at the event in a high-octane video. No boring speeches -- just a room full of one thousand of Boston's most innovative influencers at a cocktail party like no other.
