Rekindle Will Launch to Reconnect Old Flames & Friends in Early September

Back in January, hot goss surfaced about a startup spun on the side by Objective Logistics' Phil Beauregard and Matt Grace. The gist of the new mobile app, dubbed Rekindle, is to reconnect old pals and lovers who may have missed out on opportunities in the past.

Beauregard and Grace may have stepped back some to stay focused on their first $7.6 million-backed venture, but Rekindle, under the vise of Co-founder Mike Lisavich, is off and running. After raising around $500,000 from Atlas Ventures’ Jeff Fagnan, Google Ventures and more earlier this year, the startup will let a select crew of users start “Rekindling” with former friends and flames in a few weeks.

Just this week, Rekindle sent out an email blast saying the app is now in testing, with the beta coming “(very) soon.”

The beta will take place in the end of August. “An insider group of investors, a couple of advisors and the team” currently has access to it, Beauregard told BostInno. It’s been submitted to the App Store, so now it’s time to wait and see.

The public launch of Rekindle is expected sometime in early September.

“We’re going to throttle it,” shared Beauregard. “There’s been a lot of pent up demand for it. It’s going to be an exciting launch, and we want to do it right.”

The six-person team is currently working out of Yesware’s Downtown Boston office. The startup is “staffing up,” according to Beauregard. Rekindle might also have another round in the works.
