Boston recruiting software firm Bullhorn scooped up West Coast-based The Code Works on Thursday. While five employees from the startup will stay in San Francisco, Code Works’ founder Jonathan Novich will head to the Hub, the company announced. The remaining team in California will become Bullhorn’s first-ever West Coast office.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The Code Works provides integrations between vendor management systems, which allows companies to manage staffing services. The acquisition will allow Bullhorn to connect its recruiting software to other software systems and, as a result, give big data analytics to staffing agency customers.
The Code Works deal marks Bullhorn’s fourth acquisition since its founding. Bullhorn itself was acquired by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners in 2012. Bullhorn employs around 400.
