Ve Interactive sits on the Harrison Street-side of the South End. Let’s put it this way: If the work week included Sunday, members of the company’s nearly 50-person crew could be first in line for all the food trucks at neighborhood farmer’s market SoWa. That being said, there’s still much to say for the Britain-born adtech startup’s covetable proximity to the arrondissement’s restaurants, many of which serve as prime spots to snag a team lunch.
Founded in London in 2009, Ve Interactive decided to open its one and only American outpost in Boston in 2011. Since then, the Hub office has been busy bringing on and supporting its clients stateside. Overall, the privately-funded company has 3,500 clients – 700 of which are in North America – around the world on its platform, which helps ecommerce companies and other online businesses effectively decrease bounce rate and boost customer engagement.
As the company continues to grow its business, so it will build out its team. And fortunately, it has plenty of sweet space to do so. A former coworking space from the infamous Dot-Com Bubble era, Ve’s Boston office has all the trimmings for a trendy tech space. A mix of exposed brick walls, steel garage door room dividers and wooden beams give the building an industrial chic edge. Plush couches and chairs in gray, purple and Ve’s signature lime green pepper the space, giving employees a comfy alternative to their desks.
But when the team is looking to celebrate a big win or needs a little break, they head to Ve’s favorite South End eatery, The Gallows, to hit up the to-die-for Bloody Mary bar and snag an award-winning burger.
