Co-working community company WeWork is heading to Boston’s famous Fenway Park for a one-of-a-kind pitch contest. Yes, we mean startups, not baseballs. And though there may not be a trophy, there’s $15,000 on the line.
On Wednesday, August 6th, innovators and WeWork members will gather around the Green Monster for a Fenway Fast Pitch. The event is designed in part to build community between WeWork’s buildings in Boston and New York City, where the company is headquartered.
On Wednesday, small businesses working and playing out of WeWork New York and Boston demoed in hopes of being selected as one of the elite six startups headed to the Fenway competition. Judges made their decisions, and picked the companies that will go on to present their value in three-minute “innings” come early August.
The winner of Fenway Fast Pitch – and that juicy $15,000 – will be decided by the audience, so get familiar with them, Boston!
