Get ready, Boston. Come Friday afternoon, WeWork Fort Point will open its doors and start offering up a few of the tech scene’s favorite things: free drinks, demos and flip cup. Yup. (Sorry, no-strings-attached cash money couldn’t make the list.)
The co-working company will host the aptly named Drinks and Demos event to showcase top tech startups. The get together is designed to give startup founders’ the mic to tell their stories and share their products and services.
Also important to note is that these aren’t quite the lean, pre-seed stage projects you might be used to seeing. The five companies participating are well-established here in the Hub, and well-funded to boot.
People will begin pouring into WeWork’s beautiful South Boston building at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 18th. Product demos are scheduled to take center stage from 5:00 till 6:00 p.m. Once they come to a close, bottles will be popped, as the informal hour or so of networking begins.
In other words, that’s when the party begins. You’ve been promised flip cup, people, which means it’s time to break out those red solo cups and get the dainty finger flick down stat.
