Boston's business elite has been busy this past week. Catch up on who's going where below:
Two major executive hires were made at Boston mobile marketing app company Fiksu and ad agency DigitasLBi.
As for the former, Fiksu brought on its first-ever chief financial officer. Ken Goldman is the company’s new CFO, and hails from a gig of the same title at Black Duck Software. Here’s the full story.
Digitas LBi announced on Friday that Barbara Goose is stepping down from her role as Boston and Detroit President to slide into a position as chief marketing officer at real estate and mortgage industry tech provider Altisource.
“The opportunity to join Altisource and ramp up the marketing of an already thriving and innovative company is unique and exciting. A well-positioned brand improves recruiting, culture and results. I’m thrilled to help tell Altisource’s story of innovation and growth as we build momentum and attract great talent. The possibilities are limitless,” said Goose in a statement.
Assuming the coveted president position is Norman de Greve, the agency’s former chief solutions officer. During his 13-year tenure within Publicis Groupe, Greve has worked across and for several agencies, forging partnerships with Bank of America, General Motors, Goodyear and InterContinental Hotels, among others.
Product design and development firm Cambridge Consultants appointed this week Dr. Tim Murdoch as its director of digital services a branch focused on the Internet of Things. The digital services branch will focus on data analysis, connected devices and integrated systems, in hopes of delivering new products and platforms to players with the industrial, medical and consumer sectors.
Natick, Mass.-based Centage scooped up former IBM executive Piyush Jain as its new vice president of engineering. Jain brings more than two decades of experience to the budgeting and forecasting software firm that he will leverage to drive future products updates and expansions.
"Piyush is a software development leader with a proven track record of managing flagship product lines and introducing game-changing products and functionality," said Barry Clapp, President & COO of Centage, in a statement. "With extensive knowledge of financial systems for planning, analysis, and reporting, he will help build products to support our mission of providing financial and operations professionals with insight and visibility into the information and key factors that drive their business."
Here’s a bit of good news for Bostonians on the lookout for new jobs, too: Amazon sellers’ optimization technology company Teikametrics and customer retention software firm Optimove, both of which recently moved to the Boston-area, are growing their teams.
Teikametrics just moved to a 5,000 square-foot space on Summer Street in the heart of Boston’s Innovation District. “The new office space provides us with the needed flexibility to scale over the next few years,” said Alasdair Mclean-Foreman, CEO of Teikametrics, in a statement. “We’ve grown exponentially since our launch in 2012, and we anticipate continued growth at a steady rate.”
Optimove, listed on Forbes as one of the top 25 fastest-growing Israeli startups, opened an office in Downtown Boston with one employee on the ground this week. The five-year-old company plans to bring its tech to the ecommerce industry.
