If you’re going to go out for lunch, you might as well be accompanied by Brian Harrington, the chief marketing officer of Zipcar, right?
Well, local startup Agency Spotter wants to make that happen.
The “Google of creative agencies” company is activating its digital marketplace for the Boston area this week. To help build the buzz, Agency Spotter is hosting a number of sweet giveaways and events – like the Zipcar date above – “to help encourage a healthy ecosystem of brand and agency relationships in Boston,” co-founder and CMO Joseph Raccuglia told BostInno.
Raccuglia and fellow founder Brian Regienczuk left plush industry jobs at Coca-Cola and AMEX, respectively, in 2012 to start a company in the hopes of making it easier for brands to search and select creative agencies. Since then, Agency Spotter has rolled out its platform for agencies and brands in Minneapolis and San Francisco.
The company has partnered with the Ad Club to create a customized third-party widget that will live on the organization’s website, allowing people to run filterable searches on agency partners and their information. “It’s a glorified agency directory, powered by our database,” explained Raccuglia.
As for that Zipcar deal ... Till Wednesday, June 25, the company is encouraging marketers and innovators alike to enter to be one of the five or six people to win a free lunch and tęte ŕ tęte with marketing guru Harrington. "We wanted to arrange an event that mimics what we think we as a company do in the digital world, and that's helping brands and agencies connect and marketers connect in general," explained Raccuglia. To make it even sweeter, when someone socially shares the link to the contest, he or she will get an extra entry.
Agency Spotter is also offering Boston agencies a special discount for premium subscriptions during the month of June via the code BostonAgency14.
