Earlier this week, Ernst & Young crowned 12 New England businessmen and women as entrepreneurs of the year. The aptly-named EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards was held at the Sheraton Boston, and aimed to honor the top leaders in the northeastern corner of the country for their contributions to the community. Now in its 28th year, the program has since expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.
An independent judging panel of past recipients hand-picked this year’s batch of winners, the majority of which unsurprisingly hail from the Boston-area.
Among the winners were Art Papas, the Co-founder and chief executive of Bullhorn, SaaS recruiting and staffing platform, and Micah Adler, the founder and CEO behind mobile app marketing platform, Fiksu. Geoff Chapin, CEO of cleantech company NextStep Living, and Roy Hirschland, CEO of global real estate firm T3 Advisors, also made the cut this year.
