HubSpot is Bringing Lifestyle Guru Martha Stewart to Boston

Get ready, Boston: Martha Stewart is coming to town this September. The home decor and baked goods goddess was just added to the keynote lineup for HubSpot’s annual INBOUND conference.

Stewart will impart insights, inspire and reflect on being a serial entrepreneur, Emmy-award winner, best-selling author and founder of Martha Stewart Omnimedia.

HubSpot's CMO Mike Volpe said in a statement:

Martha Stewart is a well-known business mogul and lifestyle expert, but she's also an exceptional inbound marketer. She blogs regularly, has a massive social following and has built her brand on remarkable content, which is one of the many reasons we are ecstatic to have her on board for INBOUND this year.

The name of her network says it all: Stewart is a prime example of the power of personal branding. She’s built an empire of more than 66 million monthly consumers across Omnimedia’s platforms, including magazines, websites and TV shows – customers that didn’t flee when Stewart did a stint in jail after being charged with insider trading in the early 2000s.

“The minute you stop delighting your customer you’re done,” shared Stewart in the video. “I think of myself first and foremost as a student. Having a conference like INBOUND will allow people in a limited time to learn a lot about other people’s experiences and what works and what doesn’t work.”

Stewart is supremely business savvy and has a massive following on social media, with over one-million Facebook fans, nearly three-million Twitter followers and 218,000 Pinterest followers – though the latter number seems a bit low, given recipes and DIY are in Stewart’s color-coordinated wheelhouse.

The lifestyle guru is just one of the more than 140 speakers, including motivational speaker Simon Sinek and marketing and sales strategist David Meerman Scott, that HubSpot has lined up for their event this fall.

HubSpot’s also teaming up with marketing organization MITX for an INBOUND and FutureM ticket deal that allows you to attend certain speakers, concerts and happy hours at both events.
