Local ed-tech entrepreneur and angel investor Nick Ducoff just departed digital textbook startup Boundless for a newly created gig at Northeastern University.
Ducoff will be the first individual to serve as the vice president for New Ventures for the Boston learning institution, a role in which he’ll be responsible for furthering the college’s strategic growth and expansion initiatives, according to BetaBoston.
With a stacked resume of entrepreneurial endeavors and multiple degrees to his name, Ducoff is a clear pick for the university’s fresh focus on encouraging student innovators.
He worked as VP of content and operations at Boundless for around two years. Prior, Ducoff cofounded cloud big data company InfoChimps, which was acquired by CSC in 2013. He is a graduate of both Emory’s Goizueta Business School and University of Texas’s School of Law.
As far as investments, Ducoff has put money towards a number of local startups, among them Gemvara founder Matt Lauzon’s Dunwello and Panorama Education, the local startup that received Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s first edtech investment.
