This Boston Startup Wants to Deliver Healthy Food to Your Doorstep Each Month

It seems monthly delivery boxes are all the rage now. From makeup and beauty products to dog treats and snack foods, there is practically a package for any preference. So when a Boston-based company aims to provide you with the healthiest ingredients delivered right to your doorstep, there's no reason you should be breaking into a box of Cheez-Its.

TastyMakes, founded by two former Gemvara employees Melissa  Ignazio Lacitignola, is a monthly subscription full of wholesome, raw, sprouted, and gluten-free snacks where you create your own granola, crackers, and bars. This local company has truly taken the guesswork out of being healthy and allows you to structure your boxes according to your taste and nutritional preferences.

Their simply-made snacks are created with the finest organic ingredients and are packed full of the flavors you love, minus the guilt of typical prepackaged convenience store food. And with Melissa being a raw food certified chef, you know you'll be receiving the most nutrient dense foods available.

This Boston-based company was inspired after a near fatal bicycle accident almost took co-founder Melissa's life. Their founding story states that it was a plant-based, alkaline, raw food diet that saved her quality of life after her accident. The healing powers of food motivated the couple to help start Tastymakes and help others discover the endless benefits of this diet.

According to their release,

They believe that everyone deserves to experience and enjoy the health benefits of eating nourishing, whole, raw foods. Through their snacks, they aim to empower people and their bodies to be their natural best – and feel their natural best. They aim to be that tasty dose of daily optimism, strength, and vitality in the lives of others. For them, it is more than “food” they are making. They make gifts for your soul straight from Mother Nature’s pantry.

So choose one of their TastyBox plans or purchase products individually. Before you know it, you'll be snacking on healthier snack food alternatives. Talk about a special delivery!
