Boston’s Tablelist, the app that lets you reserve tables at nightclubs and lounges, revealed on Friday that it has officially launched in New York City and Las Vegas.
Tablelist-friendly nightclubs and bars in the Big Apple include No. 8, Bagatelle, 1 OAK, Up & Down, VIP Room, Bounce and Riff Raff's, among others. Vegas partygoers will soon be able to use the app’s service at Tao Beach, Tao Nightclub, Marquee, Lavo and more.
The local startup debuted its app for Android and iOS in Boston in 2013 to help owners fill empty tables, while letting people reserve reliable spots at clubs like Minibar, Storyville and the Emerald Lounge. Patrons looking to pop bottles can browse through a list of available priced tables at the hotspots in their location. Fitting for the biggest procrastinators and biggest planners, the flexible app lets people book a table anywhere from 30 minutes to seven days before the big night out.
Like Uber, users don’t have to take out their credit cards when they roll up to the venue; Tablelist automatically runs the tab through the app. And forget the drunken fumbling to divide the bill. The app lets you pick which bottles you want beforehand, and splits the check among guests before your crew even arrives.
Tablelist also allows users to accrue points through bookings and user referrals. Let the points pile up after a few evenings out on the town, and they can then be redeemed for some of the finer things in life, which according to the company, are “everything from free Uber rides and bottles of champagne, to hotel rides, a tableside visit from an Oompa Loompa and a private jet ride.”
We’re not sure about the Oompa Loompas, but that trip on a private jet sounds pretty swanky.
With a trio of cities down, Tablelist is setting its sights on a number of hot new locations, including Los Angeles, Miami and Washington D.C.
