Google acquired Boston startup Stackdriver, which creates software to improve the performance of apps in the cloud. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The two-year-old company has raised a total of $15 million, split between two rounds of funding, the latest being a Series B of $10 million last September. Two Boston VCs – Bain Capital Ventures and Flybridge Capital Partners – are investors in Stackdriver.

At the time of Stackdriver’s Series B, Co-founder Izzy Azeri told BostInno that the company hadn’t actively been seeking funding. Rather, the team was approached by several investors, including Flybridge’s Chip Hazard, based on its traction since Azeri founded the company with Dan Belcher in 2012.

Stackdriver will move from its current spot in the Financial District to Google’s Cambridge office over the next few months, according to BetaBoston. The company will also be joining Google’s Cloud Platform team.
