Maiden Lane Makes First Investment in Boston Ed-Tech Startup AllClasses' $1.5M Round

Boston-based AllClasses kicked off the launch of its search engine for online and offline courses Tuesday with an event held at Boston’s Public Library and a fresh $1.5 million in funding.

The newfound capital comes from Floodgate, Great Oaks, Atlas Venture, Designer Fund, AngelList-focused investment firm Maiden Lane, along with a number of angel investors from KAYAK, Amazon and Boston’s DataXu.

AllClasses lets people search 10,000 online and offline classes – including everything from education and business-forward seminars to fitness, yoga, cooking and art workshops and classes – so they can keep learning throughout their lives.

The startup will be streaming its launch event straight from the Public Library, which you can watch below.
