Boston Tea Business Wants To Power You Through Your Day

In honor of National Beverage Day, let us reintroduce you to the innovative tea that claims to clear your mind and aid in providing focus and energy. CogniTea has placed its packets on the market in an effort to rid you of your coffee addiction and in place have you start sipping this beneficial brew.

Chock full of healthy ingredients such as organic peppermint leaf, goji berries and stevia, this is more than your average steeped beverage. The product's claim to fame is that it contains 100 mg of L-Theanine, an amino acid from Green Tea, and 90 mg of natural caffeine. That is the caffeine equivalent of an 8-ounce cup of coffee, but without the post joe jitters.

Interestingly, in a city that is known for its tea, CogniTea is a Boston health startup that isn't trying to compete against other big name or boutique brands.

Founder of CogniTea, Alexander Kravets states,

We do not view other tea companies as competition because none of them are committed to delivering a functional product, most of them are focused on the tea experience: the education, the aroma, the flavor, etc. Additionally, tea has a historical connotation of being very 'zen' and soothing. CogniTea focuses on functionality and delivering a beverage that does what it says it will do. We are changing the perception of tea to be functional, energizing, and useful - we say CogniTea is 'Tea Reinvented.'

This breakthrough beverage is also engineered in a very specific way that makes the ingredients more water soluble so the delivery to the body is quicker and more holistic than if you were to steep each individual ingredient alone. And according to Kravets, this is a very different methodology than the vast amounts of supermarket brands that overflow store shelves.

While CogniTea is still a small company, currently based out of the WeWork offices downtown, they ship their beneficial product worldwide. "My vision is to build a company that helps power people throughout their days and towards their goals," Kravets states. "CogniTea is as much about tea as it is about content and community.  We are taking steps towards making our website a destination for motivation and inspiration where we can unite our active community under the 'I CAN. I WILL.' motto."

So be a part of the community and give this tea a try. You never know, you could break that daily coffee addiction and gain some added health benefits. Better start brewing, Boston.
