Backupify’s backup offerings just got a lot bigger. The Cambridge-based cloud-to-cloud backup provider shared on Monday that it will add a slew of new enterprise cloud applications to its list of solutions in 2014. Within the next year, the startup’s service will be compatible with Box, Dropbox, Netsuite, GitHub, Zendesk, Concur, ServiceNow, JIRA, Workday, Asana, Egnyte, Office 365 and Basecamp.
Backupify is a system that works indepently from applications on the cloud to protect you from data loss due to user error, malicious deletion, hacking and other unforeseen problems. The company currently provides support for cloud applications Google Apps, Salesforce.com, PipelineDeals, and Smartsheet on a consolidated platform designed to securely protect data of businesses in the cloud. Backupify also provides backup for Facebook and Twitter.
“We know companies are rapidly moving to the cloud and migrating critical company information into cloud applications,” said Rob May, the CEO of Backupify, in a statement. “With that exponential growth, customers are increasingly thinking less in terms of any one single application – they want a ‘single pane of glass’ in order to more efficiently and effectively protect all their data across a growing number of different applications. We’re responding to our customer’s needs by taking a more integrated approach to managing their data.”
Last year brought a number of product updates for the company, and Monday’s news shows that Backupify plans to keep up the momentum in 2014. Last October, Backupify opened up its API and rolled out its developer platform; Back in July, the company added Salesforce.com to its list of product offerings.
Backupify, founded in 2008, employs around 52 and has raised $19.5 million in total. Get the whole story on Backupify here.
