Engineer collaboration platform GrabCAD announced on Friday that it has added a new VP of Sales to its leadership team, Armen Zildjian. The hire hails from Boston company LogMeIn where he served as VP of Sales and Marketing, EMEA.
“I'm excited to welcome Armen for several reasons,” said CEO and founder Hardi Meybaum in a statement. “First, I respect that his drive is to not just to hit revenue numbers but also create happy customers and build a first class team. This is perfectly aligned with GrabCAD culture."
During his years at LogMeIn, Zildjian helped guide the company through its initial public offering. "He is coming from a long and successful career with LogMeIn,” added Meybaum. “He’s seen a company come from the early stages to being a mature, public company. I believe LogMeIn has been successful because they understand the customer extremely well and deliver great value. This is exactly how we are building GrabCAD and how we think about the future.”
Founded in 2010, GrabCAD has seen tremendous growth in the past year with the launch of CAD management and collaboration tool Workbench. Over the last few months alone, the company has inked deals with customers from startups like Pebble, to established enterprises like GE. With such strong growth, it makes sense that GrabCAD is considering its future steps and growth strategy – and Zildjan's experience will surely prove useful along the way.
