Technology Underwriting the Greater Good, commonly known as TUGG here in town, will throw down this Thursday for the 8th Annual Tech Charity Tequila & Wine Party. More than 1,600 of Boston’s brightest will head to Royale Nightclub to support a good cause, and, of course, get a little boozy.
The organization is on pace to blast through its previous years’ records. So far, TUGG has raised more than $300,000 for local nonprofits Build Boston, Catie’s Closet, Doc Wayne, Quest Adventures, rightside, Science from Scientists and YouthHarbors. Attendees won’t have to cheers to that successfully raised sum with empty glasses, either. Over 240 gallons of wine – and plenty of other libations – are prepared to be poured come Thursday evening, thanks in part to generous contributions made by Boston companies.
