Local venture firm and Twitter investor Spark Capital welcomed a new, young associate on Wednesday. Katie Bolin, 29-years-old, is the first female member of the company’s investment team. Prior to joining Spark, Bolin worked in marketing analyst and sales roles at Google Cambridge and DigitasLBi. Though she lacks startup experience, Bolin believes her past positions and penchant for data will allow her to bring value and fresh perspective to the firm’s portfolio companies.
“My digital marketing background will be useful. Having worked with a lot of different clients, I’ve seen a lot of different things,” shared Bolin, who also has a background in engineering, with BostInno.
