Valentine's Day is best spent with friends — you know it, and Drizly and Kitchensurfing know it. Forget forking over wads of cash for an inordinately expensive prix fixe meal, or sitting alone, weeping in front of a rom-com, shoveling chocolate into your mouth.
The two startups have partnered to turn the Hallmark holiday on its head. We're talking a four-course dinner for six, courtesy of Kitchensurfing, featuring expertly paired wines from alcohol delivery service Drizly.
Kitchensurfing boasts a lengthy directory of local chefs willing to shop for ingredients, cook up a big meal in your apartment and then take care of the clean-up — all for one reasonable price, gratuity include. With this Valentine's Day contest, however, the meal is free, and will be deliciously delivered by Chef Christopher Borges.
Although the sample menu looks amazing, it can also be customized if the winner wishes to change anything. Drizly will then pair wines based on the final menu.
To win dinner and wine for six on Valentine's Day, simply enter in your email address and ZIP code here. Entries will be accepted until noon on Tuesday, February 11, and a winner — age 21 or older — will be announced within the following few hours.
See? Valentine's Day is best spent with friends.
