Top Notch Group of Entrepreneurs & Investors Announce Funding for New App Aimed at 'Reconnecting'

If you're a loyal follower of the resurfaced BostInno Beat (and if you're not, become one), you'll have picked up on some "Hot Goss" Tuesday, as we fondly refer to it here in the office. Streetwise Media's own SVP of Distribution Greg Gomer dropped this mystery of a gem:

While there isn't much information (yet), there is a stealth new startup in Boston that has pulled together a seed round from many of the city's top angels and entrepreneurs. It sounds like a way to get back in touch with old flings... The team is still being pieced together, but they've got funding and I'll be seeking more information soon.

Well, that information has finally arrived, largely out of a faint fear we were going to run with the news anyway.

Keep your eyes peeled for a new mobile app called Rekindle — one meant for "reconnecting" with old flames. Although we don't have specifics, because the technology is still being built, what we can tell you is that Objective Logistics Co-founders Philip Beauregard and Matthew Grace pitched a vision compelling enough to attract this impressive, lengthy list of VCs, angel investors and entrepreneurs:

As Chase explained in Friday's BostInno beat:

Phil and Matt are 100 percent focused on OBJL, so [at the time they] didn't think much of it other than riffing about ideas with a few friends in the community. The idea, however, began to spread, with more and more people becoming interested and asking how to get involved. Since then, a group of us have come together to fund the idea. I can't say much about what it is, but I feel this video can shed some light on what the application intends to achieve.

Because Beauregard and Grace currently run Objective Logistics, the group is now looking for fellow entrepreneurs to run with the startup they've pitched. Given the interest around the idea that drove the seed round, this is a big opportunity for individuals on the hunt for Boston's next big idea.

As the technology is being developed, BostInno will keep you in the loop. Until then, make sure you're paying close attention to the Beat. You'll hear all the hot goss there first.
