Monday 1/20

Boston Indie: Legal Issues in Indie Game Development – Head to the Microsoft NERD Center this evening to get a crash course in the legalities, from copyrighting to censorship, surrounding the development of indie games.

Tuesdays 1/21

TechBreakfast – Come to Cambridge Tuesday morning and you’ll have two treats in store: free bagels and coffee and the opportunity to see a slew of demos from local startups EasyWebContent, Energy Intelligence, AppNeta, SBR Health and Pingwyn.

General Assembly: Talk Shop: Product Management – GA will go over what it takes to turn an idea into a product, starting at 6:30 p.m. The discussion will be an informal meetings of minds with a panel chockfull of local talent from Plastiq, RunKeeper, Swipley and MorphoTrust USA.

#TechTuesdays – Join the Privy gang and get in on what’s going on in Downtown Crossing. Throw back a few brews with fellow innovators, investors, techies and “any other nerds who want to mingle” at Kingston Station starting at 5 p.m.

Wednesday 1/22

MassConnect: Boston January Networking Event at Julep Bar – Head down to the heart of the Financial District on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for some casual conversation.

Boston New Technology January 2014 Product Showcase – Come celebrate the 3rd-year anniversary of the Boston New Tech Meetup by learning about seven innovative tech innovations. In addition, you’ll also have the chance to network with the presenters and the city startup community.

Thursday 1/23

BOS Lady Project: Kick-Off Event – Women in Boston will head down to Workbar Cambridge come Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the first-ever BOS Lady Project Event. The event kicks off the organization's signature speaker series, dubbed BOS 3x3, that will bring together three local women with different backgrounds, industries and career levels to share their stories. Former member of the Mass. House of Representatives Mary Grant and co-host of 103.3 AMP Radio’s The TJ Show Loren Raye will serve as the first speakers. Tickets to the event cost $18, with an optional $5 donation to Rosie's Place, a non-profit shelter for poor and homeless women.

General Assembly + WeWork: Open House – Drop by WeWork’s PopUp Shop across from South Station any time between 4 and 7 p.m. to learn more about GA’s upcoming courses in WeWork’s beautiful, creative Boston co-working communities.

MIT Enterprise Forum: Software Circle Event: Turning Your Passion into a Real Business – How do you take the first steps to build a business? Join the folks at the MIT Enterprise Forum to hear the stories of seasoned entrepreneurs from a number of local companies.

Saturday & Sunday 1/25 - 1/26

The Firehose Weekend: Learn2Code and Build an Awesome Web Application in One Drink – Dying to build an MVP, learn to code or discover a technical co-founder? Wake up bright and early on Saturday morning to attend this weekend-long event 100 percent devoted to writing code and building an awesome web application.

*Next Monday marks Boston’s first-ever StartOut LGBT Entrepreneurs Panel and Networking.
