Over the years, Boston has proven itself a prime breeding ground for companies. Entrepreneurs broke ground on hundreds of startups, spreading all sectors, in this city over the last decade, many of whom relied upon the support of our rich innovation community – its mentors, institutions and investors – to take their team’s growth to the next level.
...And other, larger companies noticed. In 2013 alone, dozens of startups born in Mass. were swiped up by corporations across the country that wanted access to disruptive tech and groundbreaking intellectual property. Conversely, some Boston companies also scooped up their own startups to bolster their blossoming success.
While some may have been forced to bid farewell to the Bay State in the wake of their buy-out, let it be known that each startup spun from this city was touched by Boston’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
