MassTLC Awards Roll Out the Red Carpet September 12th

It's that time of year again. The sweltering days of summer are coming to a close and the VCs are returning to town.  No, I'm not referencing back-to-school season or the VMAs. On September 12th, MassTLC will be hosting its 16th annual Technology Leadership Awards Gala.

The non-profit organization kicked off the event back in April when it opened up award nominations for 16 different categories. Bay State business folk submitted their bids. Mass TLC weeded through the picks, presented the finalists in July and officially shut down the online voting in August. Now, they're ready to reveal the big winners, red carpet included.

The categories include CEO of the Year, CTO of the Year, Emerging Executive of the Year, Private Company of the Year, Public Company of the Year, Startup to Watch, individual Innovative Technology of the Year for Big Data, Cloud, Digital Games, Ed Tech, Energy, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Mobile, Robotics, and Sales & Marketing, as well as Consumer Product of the Year and recruitment Video of the Year. In case you missed it, here's a list of all the 2013 finalists.

How were the winners selected?

"We went to the CIC and took over and used their conference rooms," MassTLC's Amy Black explained about the judging process. "Each category had four to five C-level folk that did the judging. We gave the [nominated companies/persons] five minutes to do their pitch, demo or give value to their product."

According to Black, the event last year brought out around 600 people. This year, MassTLC predicts an even larger crowd will flock to the Westin Waterfront, if not for the awards, then for the picturesque harbor views.

Get your individual ticket or reserve a table here. Hope to see you there!
