Isabella Products Announces $9.2 Million Series A Financing

Concord, MA (June 12, 2013) – Isabella Products, Inc., a mobile internet device company, announced today that it has closed $9.2 million in a series A financing round. The round was led by Rudyard Partners in Concord, MA with additional investments from Blue Pacific Group in Bogota, Colombia, Pinewood Trading in Beaumont, TX, and Spouting Rock Investments in Radnor, PA.

The capital will enable Isabella to finalize development and support the 2013 launch of Fable, the world’s first safe and secure connected Android tablet for children ages 3-10. It will also allow Isabella to increase engineering capabilities; acquire additional global content for the VizitMe store, Isabella’s proprietary collection of tens of thousands of apps, ebooks, games and videos; and introduce Fable into both the consumer and education marketplaces.

“We are very excited to finalize this key investment round and move towards delivering an amazing tablet and content collection that will inspire children to explore, create, learn, and interact with their teachers, family and peers globally,” said Matthew I. Growney, Founder, President and CEO of Isabella Products. “By working with its newest investor, the Blue Pacific Group, Isabella will also be able to expand Fable’s distribution into the Latin American consumer and education markets by the end of 2013.”

Fable is the world’s first secure wireless tablet created solely for children. Designed to engage children in reading, learning, video, gaming and music, Fable can be customized for each child with thousands of apps, ebooks and videos through partnerships with over 400 world-renowned publishers and app developers. Fable’s durability allows it to withstand the inevitable juice spills and accidents caused by the lifestyles of children.

"We are very excited to be part of Isabella Products and their plans to bring great content to children across the globe, and particularly in Latin America,” said Jaime Perez-Branger, Managing Partner of Blue Pacific Group. “The connectivity attributes of Isabella represent a powerful opportunity to integrate content in the daily lives of children whether this happens at school or at home. It is exciting to see the potential of bringing access to the world to our children in Colombia."
