Affirmed Networks, a cutting edge global mobile network technology company headquartered in Acton, Massachusetts, announced it has raised $51 million in Series C funding from new investors Bessemer Venture Partners and KCK Group, in addition to the company's current investors. Affirmed Networks' current investors include Charles River Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, T-Venture and Vodafone Ventures and have invested over $66 million in previous rounds of financing.
The funding will be put towards meeting substantial mobile operator demand for Affirmed Networks' mobile network virtualization solutions, including the Affirmed Mobile Content Cloud. The company is strongly positioned to kick off numerous deployments and trials around the world while also expanding its menu of available mobile virtualization products for its hungry global market.
The proliferation of personal technology fosters a richer mobile internet experience than ever before. We demand a lot from our phones, tablets, and laptops: we stream videos, do business, and socially engage with one another through these virtualized systems on a regular basis. But what we often fail to notice is that this increasing dependence on networks will require an overhaul of the current system in order to maximize revenue potential and remain relevant and efficient.
