Liz Kettler has joined Pillar VC as the firm’s new chief financial officer.
Kettler spent eight years in financial leadership at OpenView Venture Partners and was most recently chief financial officer at the Boston-based venture capital firm. In December, OpenView started winding down its operations, dissolving its seventh funding and eliminating most of its staff.
Before OpenView, Kettler was on Deloitte’s audit team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Emory University in Atlanta.
Pillar VC’s bread and butter is early-stage biotech and deep tech investment. In its eighth year, the firm is currently investing out of its third fund.
It has invested in over 120 pre-seed and seed stage companies, according to Pillar.
Lauren Farrell, who was the previous CFO at Pillar VC, joined the firm in March 2022. Farrell is staying on board through the end of May to facilitate the transition. Her next move was not disclosed.
