November M&A deal roundup: Fintech, cars and wearables

Check out the 12 mergers and acquisitions of tech and life sciences companies BostInno reported on in November.

  • Whoop, a Boston-based wearable tech unicorn, acquired the Boston-based AI startup AnyQuestion.
  • AbbVie Inc. will spend about $10.1B to acquire ImmunoGen Inc., a Waltham drug developer.
  • Rocket Software agreed to buy a business segment of Waterloo, Canada–based OpenText for $2.275B.
  • Merck & Co. Inc. will spend up to $610M to acquire a five-year-old biotech startup, Caraway Therapeutics, out of Cambridge.
  • Boston Scientific Corp. closed its acquisition of Relievant Medsystems Inc.
  • Waltham-based Q32 Bio Inc. is combining with Homology. Once the merger closes in early 2024, the company will operate as Q32 and trade under the ticker symbol "QTTB."
  • The Boston fintech Stavvy announced the acquisition of SigniaDocuments, a technology suite from Evolve Mortgage Services.
  • Selecta Biosciences Inc. has merged with Cartesian Therapeutics Inc. of Maryland. 
  • Burlington-based Avid Technology's planned $1.4B acquisition by a private equity firm has closed.
  • About two years after buying a majority stake in a Texas car-trading company, CarGurus Inc. plans to buy the remaining stake in CarOffer.
  • Travelers is paying approximately $435M to buy Corvus Insurance Holdings Inc., tenth-largest fintech company in Massachusetts. 
  • HubSpot Inc. is acquiring Clearbit, a B2B data provider.
