Wednesday, July 12

Branchfood's Summer Meet and Mingle: Branchfood is partnering with Sam Adams Brewing and JPMorgan Chase to bring the food community together for an evening of connections and conversations. The event will be at Sam Adams Downtown Boston Taproom near Faneuil Hall from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are free but you need to reserve your spot. Attendees will have food industry interests in areas like bioengineering, vertical farming, plant-based proteins, upcycled ingredients and more.

Wednesday, July 12 

Avoiding Mis-hires — High Stakes Hiring Strategies for Startups: This event hosted at District Hall by Nikki Adamson, CEO of Hustle Hunters, will include a workshop on building out an understanding and concrete language for identifying target ideal candidate profiles. She will cover topics like values and culture alignment, building a hiring process and scoping roles. The workshop is from 3-5 p.m. followed by happy hour and networking. Reserve a free spot at the event.

Thursday, July 13

Sushi Pitch Night — Celebrating Brown University's 2023 B-Lab: The Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship and the Slater Technology Fund are inviting the public to a sushi networking event featuring elevator pitches from the 2023 Nelson Center B-Lab cohort. B-Lab is the Nelson Center's eight-week accelerator program. It is a fun-and-fish-filled event with a mix of entrepreneurs, technologists, and investors. Grab a free ticket to the event. The event is from 5-7 p.m. at the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship in Providence.

Tuesday, July 18

She+ Geeks Out Geek Out, sponsored by CarGurus: Join CarGurus and She+ Geeks Out at CarGurus’ office space in Cambridge for a night of learning, networking, eating and drinking. Drinks and light appetizers will be served. Attendees will hear from three women+ speaking for 10 minutes on what they're geeking out about and then there will be networking and geeky raffle prizes. This event is a woman-focused event that intends an inclusive definition of women. It is welcoming and respectful of women, including trans women and those who are nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and anyone who identifies as a woman in a way that is significant to them. Tickets are $10. The event is from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 19

BVS' Summer Biotech Community Celebration at Tech Square: The biotech tenants at 100-700 Technology Square and other companies in the Cambridge vicinity are invited to attend this event. The event is sponsored by scientific suppliers in the industry and is an opportunity for scientists, entrepreneurs and science vendors to network. The event will be a combination of vendor exhibits, raffles, food, beer and wine. Attendee tickets are free. The event is from 4-7 p.m. at 400 Technology Square.

Wednesday, July 19

Out in Tech Boston X PA Consulting Networking Mixer: This monthly event is an opportunity to connect with like-minded tech professionals, forge new friendships, and reunite with old acquaintances. The mixer is 6-8 p.m. at PA Consulting Group.

Thursday, July 20

BizGrow Conference 2023: Suffolk University Law School will provide free one-on-one legal consultations and workshops on legal topics important to new and existing small businesses and startups. This event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to attend. 

Saturday, July 23

Seaport x Black Owned Bos. Market: This market will take place outside on Seaport Common and will feature Black-owned businesses from throughout the Greater Boston area. The theme for the July Market is Fun in the Sun. The market is open from noon to 6:00 p.m. and is free to the public. Each month, special themed activities will vary as well, including a family-friendly Tot Spot Playspace, games provided by The Little Cocoa Bean Co., beverages by Progressive Wine Co., food from Caribbean Latin fusion ZaZ Restaurant, live music by DJ Slick Vick & KNSZWRTH, along with entertainment and giveaways unifying the theme.

Wednesday, July 26

Innovation Intersection — Human Health and Climatetech at the Lab Bench: This event brings together experts in the fields of climatetech and public health for a panel discussion at Greentown Labs. On this panel, attendees will hear from researchers, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit leaders who are at the forefront of innovation in both human health and climate change mitigation; gain valuable insights from their experiences; and explore the potential of cross-disciplinary collaborations. The two-hour event starts at 10 a.m. and tickets are free.

Thursday, July 27

EHS, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship: Speakers from MIT faculty and senior leadership in innovation, research, and makerspace ecosystems will share their work and collaborations with EHS in their respective fields. The event will also include a tour of MIT's innovation spaces, makerspaces, and shops leading the way in hard tech. This will also provide ample opportunity to learn, discuss and engage leaders in this area with EHS colleagues from peer institutions. Tickets are $50 for this all-day event at the MIT Samberg Conference Center.
