June M&A Roundup: Workplace tech, running e-commerce and overseas manufacturers

Check out the 11 mergers and acquisitions of tech and life sciences companies we reported on in June.

  • Apollo Intelligence, a Watertown-based data company supporting health care and life sciences companies, was acquired by Seattle-based Frazier Healthcare Partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
  • Boston-based HqO, which makes workplace experience technology, acquired Leesman. Terms were not disclosed. The London company says it measures employee workplace experiences.
  • Boston-based edtech company Skillsoft sold its SumTotal business to Cornerstone OnDemand for $200 million.
  • Boston Scientific Corp. shelled out $230 million to buy a Korean manufacturer called M.I.Tech Co., Ltd.
  • North Carolina-based Fleet Feet has agreed to acquire New England-based running retailer Marathon Sports. The transaction includes Marathon Sports' e-commerce business and is expected to close this July. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Anaqua, a Boston IP management company, has agreed to acquire Practice Insight Pty Ltd, and its intelligent time capture software WiseTime, from IPH Limited. Terms were not disclosed. 
  • Analytics company Starburst, which has offices in Boston and Tel Aviv, announced the acquisition of Varada, a data lake analytics accelerator. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Foxborough-based Thrive acquired DSM, a Florida-based company that provides IT services to government agencies.Terms were not disclosed. 
  • Boston-based Nasuni Corp., a file data services company, acquired Storage Made Easy, a UK-based company that offers remote work and compliance solutions for cloud file storage. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Computer component and tech holding company SMART Global Holdings Inc. has signed a $225 million deal to acquire Maynard-based Stratus Technologies Inc.
  • Foxborough-based cybersecurity company Thrive has acquired Connecticut-based Edge Technology Group. Thrive said this deal gives it new global offices and data centers across the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines. Financial terms were not disclosed.
