Bullhorn, the Boston-based cloud computing company that operates staffing and recruiting software, acquired 10-year-old Erecruit on Tuesday. No financial terms were disclosed.
With the acquisition, Bullhorn gained access to Erecruit’s 200-person team and their growing onboarding technology, including eStaff365, AdaptUX and TempBuddy.
Art Papas, the founder and CEO of Bullhorn, said the merger will accelerate Bullhorn's goal to further automate staffing companies' operations and improve users’ experience.
“Erecruit has been a company that we've been tracking for a long time,” Papas said in a phone interview. “I've known the founders for the past decade, and they have some technology and some IT that we find really compelling, especially around the area of what we call candidate experience.”
Erecruit is valued at $35 million with two rounds of funding in 2014 and 2016, respectively, according to Crunchbase. Both rounds were led by North Bridge Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focusing on software, communications and infrastructure.
Bullhorn will adopt Erecruit’s exectives—namely its founders Judd Hoffman and Danko Fatovic—into its extended leadership team. The product and development team at Erecruit will continue their normal operations, but under the umbrella of an integrated network.
The acquisition follows the creation of Bullhorn One, an end-to-end staffing solution, in June. Early last year, Bullhorn also secured a hold on Salesforce-based recruiting companies by acquiring Talent Rover and Job Science.
“These two companies—Bullhorn and Erecruit—fit together so easily,” Papas said. “So this is a big win for the Boston ecosystem, for shareholders and investors.”
