BostInno is the media partner for Masters of Scale Live!, the first-ever live recording of an episode of Masters of Scale, an original podcast hosted by Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn and a major investor at Greylock Partners. The episode’s guest will be Tory Burch, executive chairman of her brand, Tory Burch LLC.
Masters of Scale tells the zero-to-hero stories of entrepreneurs whose small businesses developed into multi-million-dollar companies, comparing Hoffman’s business theories with real-life success stories. Recent guests have included Uber CEO Dana Khosrowshahi, Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow, and MIT Media Lab Director Joi Ito.
Hoffman and Burch plan to explore the meeting point of two big ideas. First, they plan to delve into the patience and timing required to scale a business, then the drive to support fellow entrepreneurs. Since launching her company in 2009, Burch has distributed $50 million in loans to almost 3,000 female entrepreneurs in her partnership with Bank of America.
“Reid’s themes and business theories are always unexpected, and I can’t wait to see how he channels them to a live audience,” said Burch. “I’m honored and delighted to participate in the first show.
Making a cameo appearance on the show will be Boston’s own Rana el Kaiouby, the co-founder of Affectiva.
The live show will be recorded and presented as a podcast in the show’s fifth season this fall.
