Robin Powered Inc, a local SaaS startup that helps companies coordinate workplace scheduling and manage meetings, raised $20 million in a Series B round led by Tola Capital. Existing investors, including Accomplice Ventures and FirstMark Capital also participated in the round.
This round follows the company's $7 million Series A round in 2016, bringing the total venture funding to $30 million, which includes a pre-seed round.
The startup, which was founded in 2014, counts companies like DraftKings, HubSpot, and Shopify as clients who use Robin's workplace management platform for space management, interactive maps, booking and unbooking conference rooms for meetings.
Robin was founded by entrepreneurs who launched a Boston-based digital production agency called One Mighty Roar -- Sam Dunn, Zach Dunn and Brian Muse.
Twin brothers Sam and Zach Dunn graduated from the University of Hartford and moved to Boston to start their entrepreneurial journey.
"We liked Boston and knew we wanted to start a company here, it helped that our third co-founder Brian was already here," said Sam Dunn.
The company plans to use the funds to sharpen its go-to-market strategy, double its headcount to 150 and expand its Boston office. To that end, Dunn said that the company is hiring for roles across the board including engineering, product and sales and marketing.
