Meet The Mass. Startups in This Year's MassChallenge Boston Cohort

More than 100 early-stage startups have been accepted into the 2019 MassChallenge Boston accelerator, now in its 10th year. This year, one-third of them are in healthcare and life sciences, more than any other category. Just under one-third are "high tech;" other categories include social impact, cleantech and energy, and general, retail and consumer goods.

The startups also have a diverse set of founders. Nearly half of the enterprises have at least one female founder and one-fifth have a founder of color. Sixty-one startups are in Massachusetts.

"As we celebrate our 10th year, we remain laser focused on supporting these pioneers achieve success and are grateful for our renowned community that makes our unique model so effective," managing director Cait Reimers Brumme said in a press release.
