ezCater went shopping in Canada and bought Vancouver-based Monkey Group, a company that makes, among other things, the cloud platform for takeout, delivery and catering for an undisclosed sum.
This acquisition will bolster ezCater's online catering marketplace with a robust catering software, data insights, point-of-sale system and loyalty programs. More than 60,000 restaurants that use ezCater will also be able to access MONKEY, the cloud platform that integrates takeout, delivery and catering orders.
Both companies already share some clients, like Moe's Southwest Grill, Einstein Bros. Bagels, McAlister's Deli.
