Remember Icebrkr, the North Attleboro-based startup that claims to be an online dating coach for people treading the love-waters for the first time on a screen?

Well, the company picked the opportune time of Valentine's Day to reveal that it's launching a dating app for singles in the greater Boston area. The app, available on iOs, will be loaded with "dating coach" features. They include a personal AI chatbot called Hootie; on-demand dating advice, like offering profile writing tips (think photo selection); conversation starters; and recommendations for date spots. The app is available to users within a 20-mile radius of Boston and has close to 500 beta signups.

“I wanted to create a space where singles had access to a dating coach in real time," said Kevin Murray, CEO and founder of Icebrkr.

Launched in 2015, Icebrkr started off as a coaching service for online daters where users could get real-time counseling via SMS for $19.95 a month.

Murray is focused on cities in the Northeast based on results from an ATT survey released last year, which ranked New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Maine as best states for online dating based on factors such as safety, demographics and opportunity.
