Lyft keeps the news coming.
Less than a week after ridesharing company Lyft completed its acquisition of the country's largest bike-sharing service Motivate, it announced that will open a hub for drivers in Boston.
Located in Medford, the hub will provide offline customer service for Boston drivers. The company operates similar hubs in twelve cities including Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, D.C.
"We want to be the best company to drive for," said Tyler George, general manager, Lyft New England. "A lot of innovation comes from talking to drivers."
Drivers can access the hub to seek help with lost and found items, rent cars, resolve payment issues etc. George also noted that the Boston hub also has a marketing and data science team and that Lyft is actively hiring for those roles.
Currently, the company has partnerships with MBTA's Ride program, Tufts University and BC Eagles.
