MedTech Company Mobius Imaging Raises $25M

Shirley, Mass.-based Mobius Imaging that makes medical devices for mobile computed tomography and medical imaging solutions raised $25 million. The round also included a finder's fee of $3 million.

In April this year, the company won 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its Airo Mobile CT Imaging System for pediatric applications, enabling patients to receive the clinical benefits of Airo CT imaging for diagnostic and intraoperative procedures.

Medical tech in Boston has been a hot investment area for a lot of venture capital companies. Earlier this week, Beta Bionics, a startup that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to develop the world’s first autonomous bionic pancreas, completed a $50 million Series B equity financing round led by Eventide Asset Management, LLC the advisor to Eventide Mutual Funds.
