After more than 55,000 votes, Round 2 of BostInno’s Private Pool Tech Madness bracket is set. Scroll down to the bottom to vote companies into the Sweet 16. (Note - Round 1 voting of the BostInno Public Pool Tech Madness bracket is still open. Check back with us on April 4 when we reveal who made the Public Bracket Elite 8.)
There were plenty of upsets during Round 1, including two #16 seed companies who knocked out #1 seed competitors. #16 seed WEVO knocked out #1 seed DraftKings, and #16 seed Virtudent took out #1 seed Desktop Metal to advance to the Round of 32. Cybereason and Indigo Agriculture are the remaining #1 seeds left in the tournament.
A few other underdogs advancing to the Private Pool Round 2 are, #14 seed botkeeper, #13 seed Notarize and #12 seeds Shoobx and Wanderu. And while there were thousands of votes cast in Round 1, #7 seed Patient Ping advanced by less than a 30 vote margin, and #16 seed WEVO advanced by less than a 70 vote margin.
The prize for the most total votes in the Private Pool Bracket Round 1 goes to, #8 seed WordStream, with 1,910 votes.
Round 2 of the Private Pool Bracket features a handful of interesting matchups from notable Boston tech companies, including #3 seed PillPack vs. #6 seed Salsify, #14 seed botkeeper vs. #6 seed Markforged, #7 seed Drift vs. #2 seed Toast, and #7 seed Flywire vs. #2 seed Circle.
