If you're planning to travel in Europe anytime soon, you might want to consider using Wanderu to find train and bus tickets.
The Boston-based meta-search site for bus and train travel just announced it has landed a partnership with Deutsche Bahn, the largest railway operator in Europe, allowing travelers to compare and book bus and train tickets to more than 4,900 destinations across 17 countries, including Germany, Austria, Belgium, Slovenia, France and Switzerland.
The new deal lets Wanderu offer tickets for trips served by Deutsche Bahn and its partners and affiliates, with no extra fee. Affiliates include Alex, Enno, Metronom, Railjet, Vlexx and Waldbahn.
“Deutsche Bahn and its affiliates travel daily to thousands of destinations that no other carrier serves and that allows us to present our users with many new opportunities to explore Europe,” Polina Raygorodskaya, co-founder and CEO of Wanderu, said in a statement. “It has been our mission from the beginning to provide travelers with a one-stop platform where they can find the best deals for the trip they’re looking to make and our partnership with Deutsche Bahn is a major step toward making that goal a reality.”
Wanderu, which has apps for Android and iOS, first launched in Europe in January. It's also available in the U.S. In addition to letting travelers compare bus and train ticket prices, the service also alerts you if prices are about to rise.
