Lord Hobo Could Open a Seaport Brewpub

The Seaport, once home to a single brewery in Harpoon, is slowly becoming a craft beer destination, solidified by news that Daniel Lanigan, proprietor of Cambridge beer bar Lord Hobo and the Woburn brewery by the same name, is hoping to bring a brewery and brewpub to the Seaport.

“We’re hustling,” Lanigan told the Globe's Gary Dzen. “I want to build the most beautiful brewery in downtown Boston.”

Not only are restaurants like Row 34, Tavern Road and City Tap House offering great craft beer selections in the neighborhood, but Hopsters will soon open a brewpub there and, of course, Trillium Brewing is expanding its footprint there in a major way, as well.

I connected with Lanigan via email, who told me he wouldn't comment on details until the lease is signed. Stay tuned.
