Housing prices in many Massachusetts areas are ridiculously high. We already knew that. But the question is, which parts of our state are the most expensive?
PropertyShark, an online property database based in New York, analyzed all of the residential transactions - condos, co-ops, and single- and two-family homes - from Mass. that closed last year to generate a list of the 50 most expensive zip codes in 2016.
Topping the list were two Boston zip codes, 02199 and 02108, which encompass portions of Back Bay, Beacon Hill and the Financial District. Portions of Wellesley, Nantucket and Chestnut followed to comprise the top five priciest places in Mass. to buy a house. Check out the full list provided by PropertyShark below.
