'Power Beer Festival' Brings 50 Mass. Brewers to SoWa for 1 Day This April

Good news, everyone: If you're feeling like there are just too many local breweries to keep track of these days – let alone visit or sample – a new beer festival coming this April will assemble a whole bunch in one place for your tasting pleasure.

Power Beer Festival is a brand new event put on by the Massachusetts Brewers Guild, the only event, in fact, hosted by the organization in the state with the goal of raising funds for "educational and marketing programs for local breweries" and supporting its "government affairs work at the legislative level."

The festival takes place Saturday, April 29, at the SoWa Power Station in two sessions – 1 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 9:30 p.m. – effectively kicking off the season for the SoWa Open Market.

Some 50 breweries, all from Massachusetts, will be in attendance, making this, according to Guild president Rob Burns, "the largest gathering of MA brewers that have ever been assembled under one roof.

"This festival is unique because it's a festival for Mass. brewers by Mass. brewers," Burns continued. "It will really highlight the amazing beer that is being made in our state. The funds from the festival go to support our efforts throughout the year in promoting and protecting the killer beer scene that has been evolving in MA."

Tickets are $55 each and on sale now. Here are the participating breweries:
