Despite the miserable conditions, tens of thousands of Patriots fans flooded Back Bay and Downtown Boston to watch the Patriots parade, a rolling rally giving credit where the ultimate credit is due: to a team who beat the odds to come back from the largest deficit in Super Bowl history to capture their fifth championship.
The snow flew at the beginning, giving way to a thick rain and temps that felt like the low 20s. Not that anyone cared. The rally, heading down Boylston Street and toward City Hall Plaza, was pure jubilation.
Tom Brady was there with his son; Julian Edelman fired the crowd up per usual; Martellus Bennett let his first ever playoff run sink in; and yeah, Gronk caught a few beers along the way.
