Cue the Duck Boats (Weather Be Damned)

The New England Patriots are Super Bowl Champions after the most improbable comeback in NFL history. Records were broken, hearts were shattered (sorry, Matt Ryan) and legacies cemented. And as Mayor Walsh tweeted late last night, this can only mean one thing for the New England faithful: a rolling parade. And soon.

The Patriots parade will be held Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. Rain or shine. And as people were quick to point out on social media, yeah, it's gonna rain. And maybe snow.

A parade celebrating tonight’s #SuperBowl Champs @Patriots, will be held on Tuesday (2/7) at 11:00am. See you there! #Patriots #OneMore ??

— Mayor Marty Walsh (@marty_walsh) February 6, 2017

Not that it will matter. City Hall informs me this thing is happening regardless of weather. So thousands will pack Back Bay and downtown Boston – just like they did in 2015 – to cheer on the winners of Super Bowl LI. The Patriots, it's worth noting, broke nearly 20 records during the course of last night's victory, and tied a host more. It was a game for the ages. We can only hope the parade will be half as entertaining.

"Congratulations to the greatest team, the greatest coach, and the greatest quarterback of all time for winning their fifth Super Bowl victory in Houston," Mayor Walsh said in a statement. "The Patriots have made Boston and New England proud - fire up the duck boats!"

Who can forget the parade in 2015? Julian Edelman clad in a white T-shirt standing atop a moving duck boat looking like a damn GQ model. Tom Brady holding his sleeping child, smiling ear-to-ear. Rob Gronkowski hanging out a duck boat window chugging beers ...
