Stop what you’re doing because you’re going to want to hear this. Ryan Reynolds will be coming to Cambridge. I repeat, Ryan Reynolds will be coming to Cambridge.

The actor, producer and famed hubby of Blake Lively was just named Hasty Pudding’s Man of the Year for 2017. Upholding tradition, there will be a parade for Reynolds, followed by a roast at the theater group’s headquarters in Harvard Square on February 3. He will receive the Pudding Pot at Farkas Hall, and a press conference will follow the festivities.

“We’re thrilled to present Mr. Reynolds with our Man of the Year award, especially after he proved his ability to simultaneously break box-offices records and the fourth wall in 2015,” Guan Chen, president of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, said in a statement. “And if his headline-stealing kiss with Andrew Garfield at the Golden Globes is any indication, it looks like he’s getting ready for his roast.”

If you can’t make it to Cambridge, fear not. For the first time ever, Hasty Pudding will be live-streaming the press conferences for both its Man and Woman of the Year celebrations, so you can watch it online free of charge.

Reynolds is the 51st Man of the Year, following last year’s winner, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The award was established in 1963, and other recipients of the past include Clint Eastwood, Robert de Niro, Harrison Ford and Justin Timberlake.

No word on this year’s Woman of the Year, so stayed tuned.
